HONE is a biometric instrument for cognitive performance during working hours. It is not an assistant, and it is not another tracker you wear to bed.

It runs a closed loop. Sense, model, surface, intervene. Photoplethysmography and heart rate variability go in. Bone conduction audio comes out: focus soundscapes, breathing prompts, a nudge to stop.

Two form factors are in development. HONE:ear is an earring. HONE:visor is a module that clips to the temple of a pair of glasses.

The bet is that the signal worth acting on shows up during the work rather than during sleep, and that the response should be something you hear instead of something else to read.

There is no site to visit yet. The engineering work is happening through Loyola’s Flex Lab.
