LineBy

A browser extension I built over a weekend to make reading long articles easier.

LineBy places an adjustable focus band over the page and dims or blurs everything outside it, so your eyes stay on the lines you’re actually reading.

In Line-snap mode it measures the article’s real text lines and locks the band to them, so each arrow-key press moves you forward exactly one line. You can also let the band follow your cursor.

Band height, step size, scroll behavior, and shade strength and color (auto, dark, light, or custom) are all adjustable, and keyboard shortcuts cover everything.
